April 14th…Monday 11 AM

Dr. Ball came in with the ultrasound machine so we knew it was time to hold our breath. We got to see both girls and their little hearts beating.

Ellen’s (recipient twin) bladder looked normal this morning. Before the surgery, her bladder was enlarged from all of the work she was doing.

As for Elizabeth (donor twin) we got to see her bladder. It was very small, but it is good to see. Before surgery we could not see anything.

Dr has said we would not see dramatic changes but the fact that they are still alive is significant. It will take some time for noticeable improvement.

We are still day to day and the doctor said today that we should probably count on them being born in Salt Lake City.

Dr. is going to give steroids today to help speed up the girls’ growth. He is expecting them to be born very premature.  They have 8 days at least before they are “viable”. We are hoping for weeks and weeks……

Stacy is feeling pretty nauseated from all of the antibiotics and other meds she is on to stop the contractions.

She is also pretty scared and overwhelmed today.   She has been very strong and faithful up to this point, but struggling a little bit today.

Please keep Stacy in your thoughts and prayers today as well as the Marys.

We love you all so much and feel very blessed to have your support.

  1. Bo and Stacy,
I am so grateful for updates via this site and my mom, of course. You are all in my thoughts every minute. Your family strength is serving you so well, I am not worried about you at all, but wish there were more I could do. I know you have a wonderful network of friends and family, but let me know if you need anything at all.
    Laura Frees

  2. Hail Mary, Full of Grace, blessed are you ….and the fruit of thy womb…..

  3. Bo and Stacy,
I just heard the news and received the link to this site- I am so sorry you are going through this. I wanted you to know that you’re in our thoughts and payers. You are both such positive and strong individuals – the girls are very lucky, keep that strength going! Much love,
    Kelly, Ron & family

  4. Hi Bo and Stacy!
This blog is great–it will be so nice to get updates this way! I hope that you are feeling some peace in the midst of constant flux. We are all thinking of you, and of course, praying that all goes the way it is meant to, and in God’s time. The news today sounds so encouraging–keep it coming! We’ll watch over your kids, and give them love in the parking lot.
    Miss you guys— Jen John-son

  5. Dear Stacy and Bo,
The Lord is with you, carrying all of you in the palm of His hand. Just as He called each of us from our mother’s womb, He is gently telling Ellen and Elizabeth how much He and their parents love them. Your sisters on Team 7 have been praying for you and all of your children. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to believe in miracles.
    Your Sister in Christ,

  6. Bo and Stacy,
you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers. We hope you can continue to find the strength to get thru a day at a time.
We wish you were here but in the meantime, please give us a job to do!
Love, Scott, Theresa, Lauren, Jack, and Max

  7. That is so great to hear, BoGoBro! I said another Rosary yesterday at our Team 6 Adoration Hour with the “pink” beads again! Sounds like we need another one for Stacy! Hang in there, bro.

  8. Bo and Stacy, this is all good, good news. We are thankful that you are where you need to be for your little sweetie pies to be able to lie next to each other and grow and grow. There is no reason to doubt that they can stay there for many, many, many more weeks. Remember—Great Expectations!
    Hope never disappoints.
    Our prayers remain with you,

  9. You are all in our prayers. We will also be praying to St. Gerard,
patron saint of expectant mothers. The Malnars

  10. You know we are working hard to get the kids out there this weekend with help from A LOT of giving people. THANK YOU GOD FOR THOSE PEOPLE! Hopefully being together will lift you all up. Never doubt the power of almost 2,000 hits to this website and the BIG GIVE, I have seen first hand how many people want to give! WOW! It is “A Wonderful life” and you are George (Bo), just being there for Stacy and those babies! We will pray for all of you tonight at my CRHP meeting and lift you all up. We love you!

  11. You are constantly in our thoughts. I have known people who have had to have those awful drugs to stop contractions and know they are very difficult to endure. I will pray for extra peace, comfort, and strength for Stacy in these weeks. Thank you so much for sharing this website with us and for updating it frequently. It helps make our prayers so much more specific!
Our love to you and your family.

  12. Stacy and Bo,
We are thinking of you in Omaha. . .you are all in our prayers.

  13. Bo and Stacy,
God Bless all of you. We are thinking of you and sending positive thoughts your way. Stay strong.
    Courtney and Patrick O’Farrell

  14. Bo and Stacy,
Father, please be with this entire family at this time. Blow your healing breath upon them…we ash that you continue to hold them in the palm of your hand. Ellen & Elizabeth are fearfully and wonderfully made by you…please allow them the continue to reside in their current home for a long while…Be with the children here and there…give the grandparents enegry and endurance. Give Stacy and Bo just what they need for each new day and what it brings. Give them and the doctors wisdom that can only come from you. Be with them throughout this each and every day…each and every minute..Bless them

  15. Bo and Stacy,
Mom just pointed me over here and told me all that was going on. I can’t help but feel completely helpless in the wake of this news, wanting to be able to say or do something that could make all of this go away. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers and will be every single day.

May Stacy be filled with Your peace and blessing so that she may bring her children into this world safely and in good health to the praise and glory of Your name.

  16. Bo and Stacy
Thanks so much for keeping everyone updated with the progress. Like all of Ascension, our family is praying for you and your family — with hope and trust and gratitude for all of you!

  17. Mens CRHP team 5 said a rosary for you last evening. We continue to pray for you. May God’s love be yours.
