To Pee or not to Pee……

We continue to believe in the power of prayer.  Thank you ALL for this!  Everyday we are humbled by your faith and support.  There is no other way to explain it.  Early this morning we were told by the Dr “if Elizabeth does not pee in the next 24-48 hours she is not going to make it.” Elizabeth, if you remember did not have any measurable fluid for the last 3 weeks she was in mom.  Therefore she had not been using her bladder or kidneys and they were not as developed as a normal 25 week old would be.  Regardless and miraculously, she finally started to pee today!  That means that while her renal functions are not where they need to be, they are working.

The Marys are struggling with their 25 week birth, on top of which they are still struggling with the effects of ttts.  Both of them have different struggles.  One minute they are worried about Ellen and the next it’s Elizabeth.  The nurses in the NICU cannot take their eyes off of them and the doctors are constantly regulating and adjusting and accessing.  Looks like we have traded one roller coaster for another. There’s only one way to ride………prayerfully.

The bottom picture is Ellen holding mom’s finger. The top picture is Elizabeth wearing dad’s ring

Thank you for your comments and prayers! Love Bo and Stacy

  5. Bo, Thanks for the great reflection on Job on Saturday. Even when you are not here, you (St. Mark) are evangelizing!

“I waited, waited for the Lord:
who bent down and heard my cry,
Drew me out of my pit of destruction,
out of the mud of my swamp,
    Set my feet upon rock,
    steadied my steps.
And put a new song in my mouth,
    a hymn to our God.
Many shall look on in awe
and they shall trust in the Lord.” Psalm 40

  10. Oh Lord, we lift our voices in praise and thanksgiving for the gift of life for these wonderful inspirations of hope in our lives. We have gathered together as one community of Christ united in prayer to lift these babies up as a special request to you to help us all witness your eternal love for us on earth. We have seen your miraculous grace sent to bless these babies, their parents, brothers, sister, grandparents, family and friends.

They have drawn us together to pray, to recognize You, our Lord, as our hope and our salvation. May you continue to bless this family and help all of us continue to model the faith and trust that they have taught us through the past weeks. In this we give Thanks and Praise to you, our Loving Father. Amen!
